“Children thrive when families and educators work together in partnership to support young children’s learning.” (EYLF) The educational program at Little Learners follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline which is based on the national approved learning framework: Belonging, Being and Becoming – The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) – set within a Christian context. Little Learners provides a flexible emergent curriculum in which fun is an important foundation, through a range of experiences, both within their indoor and outdoor environments and also within the College community. Staff actively assist children in becoming independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners. Children love visiting the College Library for a library lesson and the opportunity to borrow on a weekly basis.
The Suncoast Little Learners fee is $76 per day and families can claim the Child Care Benefit (CCB) rebate for their child. You can contact the Family Assistance Office by phone on 13 6150 or via www.humanservices.gov.au to calculate the CCB applicable to your family.
If children are collected after closing time, late fees may be charged at the rate of $1 per minute to cover the payment of overtime to staff. It is important that parents phone Suncoast Little Learners if they are going to be late. If this has not happened, the emergency contact persons indicated by parents will be asked to collect the child/ren. In the event that neither parents nor emergency contact persons can be reached by 6:30pm, the local police department will be informed.
